"HEALTHY LIANGS"

SR Sungai Liang launched a Community Outreach Programme called "Healthy Liangs" today with SR Sg Liang's PIBGs. The Guest of Honour was Hj Wahab bin Abdullah, Ketua Kampong Sungai Liang. We also invited several officers from JSS. The launching began with the recital of Doa Selamat by Ustaz Ak Hj Reduan bin Pg Hj Tengah. Then a welcoming speech was given by Cg Siti Norradziah bte Hj Matali, our PGB as well as the Chairperson of the ceremony. Shortly after that, "Healthy Liangs" was launched by hitting  a Gong 3 times by the Guest of Honour. After the launched, a short video were played on the activities that had been done in SR Sungai Liang.

To start of "Healthy Liangs", an aerobic was performed which was conducted by our very own Aerobic Conductor, Miss Stacey Hickman with SR Sungai Liang's aerobic team. Immediately after that, we had brisk walking towards Taman Peranginan Sungai Liang. We rested for a while then we continued our brisk walk back to school. During this activity, we were accompanied by Pasukan Polis Sungai Liang and Pasukan Medic Sungai Liang.

At the end of the programme, everyone had a healthy refreshment as to support our "Healthy Liangs" programme.

We would like to convey our greatest thanks to our Guest of Honour, Hj Wahab bin Abdullah, Ketua Kampong Sungai, for making time to support our Community Outreach Programme. And also we would like to thank everyone involved in making this launching a success.

Teacher's Day Celebration @ SRSL

This morning SRSL's PIBG organized a Teacher's Day celebration for SRSL teachers. Everything was prepared by the PIBGs. At 8.30am, Haji Maidin, the head of PIBG, lead us, teachers to the hall lead by two lower primary girls carrying the bunga rampai to the hall. We were greeted by parents and pupils who had been asked to be in the hall at 8am. Teacher's day song were played during our entrance.


The event started with the recitation of Al-Fatihah and an opening speech by the head of PIBG, Haji Maidin. Then, our PGB, Cg Siti Norradziah, were asked to cut a Teacher's Day cake on stage with a teacher's day song sang immediately after that. Performances were performed by selected pupils from different levels (rehearsals were done by PIBGs too). There's also a Poco-Poco dance performed by the Year 3 pupils.


In between the performances were "Lucky Teacher's Name Draw" and also lucky draw for pupils. There's also several appreciation awards given to SRSL's veteren teachers who had contributed a lot for the school and pupils. At the end of the event, a video of an activities conducted in SRSL for the last 3 years were played.


Teachers and parents had their refreshments in the Munaqasah Room. A recitation of Doa were lead by Ustaz Ak Hj Reduan.


Alhamdulillah, the event went well eventhough there's a heavy shower after half an hour the event had started.
